Robert Romano

As Head of UHNW and Capital Markets Investor Solutions, Rob leads teams of specialists tasked with providing Financial Advisors and UHNW clients with asset allocation, portfolio construction and security level investment guidance. This includes Portfolio Strategists and Analysts who work with Financial Advisors to effectively and efficiently construct customized portfolios for their UHNW clients.

Capital Markets Specialists offer market insights and identify investment opportunities, while providing customized implementation guidance involving the full suite of capital markets products including: market linked investments, equities, fixed income, derivatives and exchange funds.

Prior to joining Merrill in 2022, Rob spent 11 years at UBS where he led various investment specialist teams across Capital Markets, Advisory and UHNW Portfolio Construction within the Wealth Management Americas division. Rob began his career in 1999 with Citi Smith Barney in equity research and spent the next 12 years in various research, investment strategy and equity sales roles.

Rob graduated from Franklin & Marshall College with a B.A. and earned his MBA from Rutgers University.
